Cat Acne Video Transcription:

So I have one video of cat acne on YouTube. And cat acne usually happens underneath a cat’s chin and Trigg has some cat acne right now, so I’m going to show it to you. On the other video, it’s of Caymus’s chin and it’s before I knew that plastic caused zits in cats. And obviously, when I found that out, we stopped using plastic, for the majority, with Caymus and Murphy, but sometimes, with Charlie and Trigg, I use plastic balls and I’ve been putting their treats in plastic bowls recently, and I’ve got to stop, because Trigg always gets zits from plastic. But usually, if I rotate it with ceramic and glass bowls, he’s okay. Like if I only use plastic one time a day, it’s fine. But that’s not the case. So without further ado, I’m gonna get him in a more submissive position and show you his…

Okay, I think I just worked it out. Okay, so you see the… If I can go in a little bit too… See those black specks, that… And now I can’t get to focus. I know, Chiggy, so submissive, so unlike you. That is acne, those black specks. And I can’t get it to focus. Here we go. And all you need to do is just pull those out, you know, with your nail. I just kinda lightly scratch them out, because the skin can get tender where it is, so you don’t want to make it raw and hurt. You know, any time you’re dealing with that, always think about how it would feel on yourself. So that’s what I do. I just go through and separate all the fur, while I also stop using plastic bowls. And I always keep an eye on his chin, because I really do like the ModaPet bowls but those are plastic too. And they’re a different kind of plastic, so we don’t have to… bless you, oh, bless you. But the ones that we’re using for that one are for the treats are just little Gerber baby food bowls, so they’re a different kind of plastic.

Anyway, you can see, I’ve kind of cleared it out. People always tell me, like, that…on that video of Caymus’s zits that it’s flea dirt. No. Fleas don’t leave dirt under the chin and only the chin. So and I know, you know, I’ve talked to vets and all that kind of stuff, that’s how I found out about acne in the first place. The reason why you want to clear out the blackheads, and a lot of people will just… And those are called blackheads, those little black things, even though they’re not even attached to the skin, they’re just attached to their fur, just those tiny little specks. They can turn into whiteheads, and then that is when cat acne can be really painful for the kitty, so you do want to make sure that your cat doesn’t have a lot of blackheads.

“I gotta go be crazy. I don’t like to be that submissive.” Chiggy, thanks, you were a good sport. Everybody enjoyed seeing your acne, Chiggy. Chig, Chiggy, Chiggy. “What’re you doing? What’re you doing, say everybody thank you for my acne? Thank you, thank you for watching my acne. It’s so important. Thanks for watching. We’ll see you next time.
